Financial Information

Beginning with the 2010-2011 academic year, all applicants for financial assistance must first apply for Diocesan Aid before they will be considered for local funds. Applications for local aid can be made after notification from the Diocese. This application will be reviewed on a confidential basis by the Tuition Assistance Committee established under Diocesan guidelines. Available funds will be distributed on a needs basis.

Applications for Diocesan Aid are available in the main office and they can also be obtained online at www.psas.org. Please keep in mind that the applications are due by December 30, 2011. Should you require assistance in completing the PSAS Student Aid Form, please contact the school office.

There are several options for paying tuition at St. Mary School.

  • Parents may elect to pay the entire tuition amount by June 3rd prior to the beginning of the school year in September.
  • Another option is to make two payments, one due on or before June 3rd and the other on January 9th.
  • The third option is to join the Smart Tuition Management Plan. There is a $50 fee for this service. Smart tuition will then either automatically deduct the tuition payment monthly from a specified bank account, or will send a monthly invoice. In addition, credit card payment by Amex, Discover or Mastercard is acceptable. Smart tuition does not accept Visa.
  • Tuition refund policy (based on 100% of the 2011-2012 tuition) If a student is withdrawn from St. Mary Elementary School the amount due St. Mary Elementary School will be based on a ten month basis. For example, if a student is withdrawn in December 2011, four tenths of the total will be due.
