Fine Arts & Performing Arts

Saint Mary School offers an engaging fine arts program that opens up opportunities for our students to be creative.  Students in all grades take general music and art as part of the curriculum.  Electives include Art Enrichment, in which students collaborate on various projects and set designs, SoundWaves, an instrumental lessons program, the Saint Mary Singers, who lead the student congregation at liturgies, and Drama Club, where students prepare and perform multiple musical theater productions each year.  In additon, to help our campus arts program grow with our students, Mater Dei Jr. Chorus and Mater Dei Band both offer SMS students the opportunity to take part in music making at the next level.

The SMS Fine and Performing Arts Department also sponsors events such as a Fine Arts Festival, the SoundWaves Cafe, and other opportunities for artistic expression as it engages the entire student population of Saint Mary School with the teamwork, communication, self-discpline, and creative thinking inherant in the arts.
