Saint Mary School is committed to providing additional support to our students as needed through our Student Services department. Their goal is to help students recognize their full potential and to assist them in meeting the challenges that are presented to them.
Counseling services are provided by an on-campus certified guidance counselor. Students with emotional, social, behavioral or academic difficulties are able to receive services. When necessary the guidance counselor also assists the administration in helping the students with conflict resolution. Students may be recommended to the counselor by the administration, parent or teacher. Students may also request appointments with the counselor at any time. Additionally, in-class support may be provided to students by certified special education teachers or paraprofessionals in accordance with their Individual Student Plan (ISP).
Identification and remediation of expressive and receptive language deficiencies, articulation errors, voice fluency, and auditory disorders are provided through the services of MOESC. This service is offered at no additional cost to the family.
Conferences between the student and the counselor will be held periodically. A student or parent may request a conference at any time. Parents are encouraged to schedule appointments by contacting Ms. Katherine Anderson – Guidance Counselor Student Services at firstname.lastname@example.org
