I am writing to inform you of our decision to postpone a few scheduled events due to the storm headed our way on Wednesday and Thursday. As always, we want to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being, so with 3-6 inches of rain on the way, we do not want anyone traveling unnecessarily during the storm. Having said that, we do not want to cancel these events either. We will have the two postponed events rescheduled for:
The New Student Orientation will now be held on Thursday, September 2nd at 6:00 pm in the SMS cafeteria.
The Blessing of the Classrooms/Ice Cream Social will now be held on Wednesday, September 8th at 6:00 pm at SMS.
We are currently updating the school’s reopening procedures to comply with the Governor’s latest executive orders and will send/post them shortly. As of now, as mentioned in my last correspondence, we are wearing masks in the building. Otherwise, we are attempting to run our school day as normally as possible with students moving from classroom to classroom, eating in the cafeteria, and participating in afterschool programs such as the Saints AfterClub, sports, music lessons, etc. You can expect to receive this information by Friday, September 3rd.
Until we speak again, may God bless you all and bless Saint Mary School.
